A highly figured sea-washed Cornish stone, its surface shaped by time and water, sits on a painted Jesmonite base. From its top rises a brightly polished, reflective bronze form with an aperture at its centre.The variety of stone found in Cornwall is remarkable and this is but one example.It contrasts strongly with the smooth polished bronze or the plain coloured plinth.The bronze will tarnish naturally over time or from handling, and can be easily removed for polishing.
